We gather regularly for great fellowship, interesting programs, and a fine lunch. We meet in Borgwardt Hall. Coffee is served and a time for visiting starts at 10:30am. At 11am, we begin with brief devotions, followed by a short business meeting. Next follows a 45 minute program on timely topics led by special guest presenters. Lunch is served at noon, and the cost is $6. Be part of this fellowship of Bethel men. The annual membership fee is just $10.
January 22: (A change from the 3rd Tuesday) History of the Wisconsin State Capitol
Michael Edmunds is a writer and public historian living in Madison. His talk on the Wisconsin State Capitol is the story of the monument that in 2017 turned 100 years old. He’ll highlight the colorful personalities associated with it over the past century and tell stories about governors, architects, legislators, protestors, receptionists and activists and how they carried out the experiment of self-government under the dome of this great building. Michael has written a number of publications and will have copies of his book The Wisconsin Capitol available. He is a graduate of Harvard and Simmons College and is on the staff of the Wisconsin Historical Society.
The Homeless Ministry Board seeks the following for our guests: MENS pants, jeans, underwear, socks, belts, light jackets. WOMENS socks and underwear. Cash donations always accepted.
