Volunteers

Bethel Lutheran Church is a community of people with a wide range of interests and skills. We welcome the ability to partner with our friends & families to provide services to, not only our campus and congregation, but our surrounding neighbors as well.

Volunteer opportunities can be found by contacting our volunteer coordinator, Craig Gjerde. You can also complete your Realm ’Serving’ information, or by selecting from our ever changing menu of volunteer positions. Short-term and long-term Volunteer Opportunities are available and helping hands of all ages are welcome.

Volunteers for Confirmation

The confirmation program is going to have a little bit of a new look this year, and we need your participation to make it so. Please start to prayerfully consider how you might support the faith formation of our youth with strong intergenerational relationships. Opportunities will include leading small groups on Sunday nights, being someone’s mentor, responding to the youths’ self-study units, and teaching a small module yourself (with support!). If you have experience, knowledge, concern, or interest in the following issues that face kids today, you have something incredibly important to share in a module (e.g. bullying, money and materialism, religious art or music, gossip, screen time). For more information or even a simple conversation to discern your way, connect with Pastor John or Pam Shellberg (jswanson@bethel-madison.org, pam@bethel-madison.org).
