Vacation Bible Camp 2021 at Bethel Horizons!

Please read everything below carefully.
Most importantly, everyone (adult, child, vaccinated or unvaccinated person) MUST have a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 5 days of camp to attend. Details below.
Important final reminders as we are in the final countdown to VBC!
1) We are requiring a negative Covid-19 PCR test from within 5-7 days of the start of camp – this is required of EVERYONE attending camp (adults, kids, vaccinated or unvaccinated). We cannot allow anyone without the negative COVID-19 PCR test to attend camp. Tests are free and available at many locations, here’s a link to more information on that and also a link to a message from our Executive Director, Eric Knueve:
Reminders of COVID policies at Bethel Horizons HERE.
HERE is the COVID screening we will do with your camper upon arrival – in addition to receiving your negative COVID-19 PCR test from within 5-7 days of the start of camp.
Please email the results of your COVID-19 PCR test to or bring a paper copy of your results with you to the bus drop-off/camp.
Again, you MUST have a negative COVID-19 PCR test to attend camp.

Something remarkable can happen when a person starts learning to see themselves the way God sees them.  That something remarkable could be confidence soaring as every person connects with that through Jesus:

They are known.

They belong.

They are forgiven.

They can make change.

They can make a difference.

We will open the day in celebration with songs and the day’s Bible Story and then we’re off to discovery centers in small groups with Discovery Guides (ages 13+) and Horizons’ Troop Leaders as our guides.  Afternoon and evenings will be full of adventures at Governor Dodge Park, ropes course, field games, art, environmental education, campfires and more!

***Please read through everything below – the information below is needed to complete the online registration. ***

We are using a new online registration system this year to ensure we have all of the necessary information to provide a safe and fun experience for all participants.  Thank you for your patience as new systems often mean a few bumps along the way.  Questions?  Email Cindy at or Linda at

  • Thursday:  Your child’s camp week ends on Thursday at 5pm.  The bus will leave promptly at 5pm and arrive at the church parking lot around 6:15pm.  Parents/guardians whose children do not ride the bus should pick up their camper at 5pm at Bethel Horizons in Dodgeville.
  • Please note there will NOT be a closing dinner on Thursday as in previous years.  Campers will have a snack mid afternoon before the bus ride home.

Who Can Attend:

  • Kids ages 8 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Grown-ups connected to the kids are invited too!  Parents, grandparents, caregivers, aunts/uncles, you name it! The more inter-generational the better!
  • Ages 13+ or entering seventh grade and up will serve as Discovery Guides (assisting Bethel Horizons Staff) during the morning and afternoon sessions. In the evenings, we get to go wild at the campground, sleeping in tents, hammocks, playing late-night laser tag, capture the flag, and having our own special campfires.  This is a GREAT opportunity to provide some leadership alongside your Bethel Youth Ministry and Confirmation friends during the day, and then run wild in the evenings with Rachel at the campground.  Questions?
