Faith! Family! Fun! are woven together to help children experience God’s grace and love through music, stories, games and crafts. Prayer, friendship, and small group connections within the classroom are emphasized. Sunday School for children and adults is offered every week from September through May.
We can’t think of a better time to teach preschoolers about how much Jesus loves them than February—the month of love! And how much does Jesus love preschoolers? Well, the same as He loves you and me—A LOT! In fact, there is nothing wider or longer or higher or deeper than the love Jesus has for you and the preschoolers in your life. This month, our goal is for preschoolers to know Jesus loves them, and that nothing will ever change that. To do that, we’ve planned some super fun, hands-on-activities and are ready to tell amazing Bible stories in ways that will engage young minds.
Jesus demonstrated what serving really means by washing His disciples’ feet and even laying down His life for the sins of the world. We reflect His character to the people around us when we lend a hand and serve.
LIFE APPLICATION: Lending a hand to help someone else
MEMORY VERSE: “Jesus sat down and called for the 12 disciples to come to him. Then he said, ‘Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last. They must be the servant of everyone.’” MARK 9:35, NIrV
Bethel teaches our preschoolers three simple, but powerful, truths. The entire curriculum is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundations so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten they know these three basic truths:
1. God Made Me 2. God Loves Me 3. Jesus Wants To Be My Friend
Families attend the 9am worship service together in the sanctuary. During the service, children are invited to experience the Children’s Moment with a Bethel pastor and then follow Sunday School teachers out for the remainder of the Sunday School programming. From the Children’s Moment go to Sunday School JAM (“Jesus And Me” featuring the day’s theme, story, and songs), Sunday School, and Choir or Kids Fellowship.
The curriculum is focused on three basic truths:
I need to make the wise choice
I can trust God no matter what
I should treat others the way I want to be treated
and is designed to provoke discovery and invite kids into a new understanding of how to grow in relationship with Jesus.
Faith! Family! and Fun! are woven together to help children experience God’s grace and love through music, stories, games, and crafts. Prayer, friendship, and building relationships with one another and God are emphasized throughout the morning.
Families attend the 9am worship service together in the sanctuary. During the service, children are encouraged to come forward for a message from a pastor or a church leader. Following the Children’s Moment, the children leave with their Sunday School Leaders for a fun morning of JAM (“Jesus And Me!” featuring the day’s theme, story, and song), small group classes per age/grade level, and either Choir or Kids Fellowship.
Bethel’s Sunday School programming is for children ages 2 (potty training is not necessary - we can help as needed!) – 5th grade. The morning concludes at 11am. Please contact email@example.com for more details. We look forward to meeting you and your children!
Bethel is committed to equipping parents with experiences that foster their children’s life in faith. In addition to Sunday morning instruction, we offer Parent Cue which help parents talk about the Sunday School lesson. We also offer a link to online games and videos that reinforce the weekly Sunday School Lessons.
Families are invited to attend any of Bethel’s worship services (Saturday 5pm, Sunday 7:45am, 9am, 11:15am). We embrace wiggles, giggles, and cries everywhere at Bethel and hope you and your children will join us!
