Welcome & Hospitality

Welcome & Hospitality

Bethel’s Welcome & Hospitality Team plans and executes programs to engage new members of Bethel and sustain current membership, nurturing this Christian community. The team works to create a welcoming environment for those seeking a spiritual home where they can grow and experience fellowship.

FALL FESTIVAL

Bethel Lutheran Church’s Annual Fall Festival is a joyful celebration that brings together members, neighbors, and friends for an afternoon of community, generosity, and seasonal fun. Held each autumn, the festival transforms the church grounds into a lively gathering place filled with music, food, games, and activities for all ages. Families enjoy classic fall traditions while connecting with one another in a welcoming atmosphere that reflects Bethel’s spirit of hospitality and fellowship.

Beyond the festivities, the Fall Festival is also an important opportunity to support Bethel’s ministries and outreach efforts. Proceeds from the event help fund programs that serve both the congregation and the wider community, including initiatives such as the food pantry, homeless ministry, and youth programs. Volunteers from across the church come together to organize booths, prepare food, lead activities, and welcome guests, making the event a true expression of Bethel’s shared commitment to service.

At its heart, the Fall Festival celebrates the abundance of the season and the strength of community. Whether attending for the food, the music, the children’s activities, or simply the chance to gather with friends, visitors experience the warmth and generosity that define life at Bethel Lutheran Church. It’s a day of fun, gratitude, and connection that many look forward to year after year.

NEW MEMBERS – ATTENDER TO MEMBER

Bethel Lutheran Church’s Attender to Member process is a welcoming pathway for those who are beginning to feel at home in the Bethel community and would like to explore deeper involvement. Through informal gatherings and conversations with pastors and staff, participants learn more about Bethel’s mission, ministries, and the many ways people share their gifts in service, worship, and community life. It is also an opportunity to ask questions, meet other newcomers, and reflect on what it means to belong to a faith community rooted in grace, hospitality, and service.

For many, this process leads to choosing membership at Bethel, but the primary goal is simply connection. Attending these gatherings allows individuals and families to get to know the church more fully while allowing the church to get to know them. Whether someone is new to the area, returning to church after time away, or seeking a deeper spiritual home, Attender to Member helps create a natural and meaningful step toward becoming an active part of Bethel’s life and ministry.
