Bethel's Women's Ministry consists of groups geared for the needs and interests of women. They are open to all women. this ministry is overseen by the Women's Coordinating Council which seeks to represent all women of Bethel from a variety of groups such as the 20 Women's Circles, Church Ladies, Lydia's House and Bethel Bookwomen. It is also a link to the South Central Synodical Wisconsin Women's Organization, as well as to the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The purpose of the Council is to share information about projects, programs, and missions and to share concerns of the women of the church. The women's groups represented on this Council support missions throughout the Madison community and the world through monetary contributions; quilt making, layette, and health, and school kits.

The next Women's Coordinating Council meeting will be held

Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the Good Shepherd Chapel.

The LWR Fair Trade Coffee Project ensures that more of the money you spend on coffee reaches the farmers who actually grow it. Fair trade coffee is a simple solution that means the difference—quite literally—between surviving and not surviving for small-scale coffee farmers.

LWR Health Kits | Link

People who must flee their homes quickly often do not have time to pack essential items. Health kits can help refugees maintain personal hygiene while living in exile. Items may also contribute to a new start for those who can return home.

In refugee camps, hospitals, and villages around the world, gifts of layettes convey a warm welcome to newborns and their mothers.

A school kit may provide the only supplies for children returning to school after the disruption of war. School kits help parents continue their children's education, even while living in a refugee camp, for example. A school kit may also be used in adult literacy classes.
