A small group of women from Bethel, dubbed “The Church Ladies,” visit the ARC House once a month for fellowship with women transitioning from prison to independence. The group gathers on a Saturday afternoon once a month (with snacks!) to craft, share stories, laugh, and hear a devotional. This time is marked with uplifting energy and a shared hope for a great future.
The ARC Houses in Madison are transitional living situations for women who have been incarcerated and are reentering the community. Each month women from Bethel go to the ARC House on Dayton Street to make greeting cards, share treats, have a short Bible story, sing and pray from 1-3pm. If you want more information on this program and how you can help, call Alice Hansen or Sue Murray at 608.257.3577.
