Weddings

We enjoy being involved in Christian weddings. We enjoy being involved in the planning of the wedding, as well as conducting the wedding service. The Bethel pastors and the Director of Music form a team, with the bride and groom to make the wedding ceremony a memorable worship experience.

Wedding services are held at Bethel on Saturdays at 9:30, 12:30, 3:30 and 6:30. The wedding party has three hours assigned to them, an hour prior to the service, the hour of the service and an hour after. We provide a room for the bride and her attendants, complete with mirrors and a bathroom. The groom and his attendants also have an assigned space to dress and gather.

Those who wish to have the weddings at Bethel are encouraged to contact Sandy Ripp, our wedding coordinator Mondays-Fridays, 8:00-4:00. She may be reached by phone at 257-3577 ext. 231, or by email. Sandy will provide you a list of the available dates and times for your wedding. Couples are invited to select an available pastor from the Bethel staff.

Most weddings performed at Bethel are for people who are Bethel members. On occasion, we perform weddings for people who have parents or grandparents who are current Bethel members. Sandy will provide information regarding such events.

Each couple meets three times with the pastor and is encouraged to attend a Wedding Music Workshop with Director of Music, Gary Lewis. All wedding music must be appropriate for worship and be approved by Mr. Lewis. The next Wedding Music Workshop is scheduled for May 5, 2012 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Rehearsals take place on Friday nights. Times for rehearsal are secured at the time that you register for your wedding.
