The Support Services office is open Tuesdays from 12 noon until 4:00 pm, and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Mark Wilson is the Volunteer Director of this ministry. Support Services has people available to help with housing, an employment search on the internet, filling out job applications, and writing resumes. The office has 12 computers, a phone and a fax machine. There are cell phone and Lens Crafters applications on hand, information on how to obtain your GED, or if needed, other resources in Madison and area for homeless persons. For people with health concerns, a Parish Nurse is available most Tuesdays. The office has been instrumental in placing people into housing and helping people find employment. In addition, coffee, snacks, extra clothing and a safe place for fellowship is provided by this ministry.

Leadership:

MARK WILSON - Mark is Volunteer Director of Homeless Support Services at Bethel. For 45 years, Mark has been involved with baseball, receiving a baseball scholarship to Bacone University. He was thrilled when he was invited to try out for the Cincinnati Reds. When Mark was manager of the State Street Taco Bell, it became known as a place where homeless could get warm, use the facilities, and even get some food, courtesy of Mark. When Mark's homeless friend died on the steps of Bethel, he got involved in the beginning stages of Bethel's Homeless Ministry, where he has been ever since. Mark is married, has 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
