Summer Youth Musical

Combining the stories, characters, and words of the incomparable Dr. Seuss and the delightful and exhilarating score by Broadway duo Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Seussical Jr creates a magical world in which the power of creative thinking proves to be the most valuable of all. "Oh, the Thinks You Can Think" captures the show's spirit of imagination, as the colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.
The actors in the Bethel Summer Youth Musical program are between age nine and fourteen and will have spent the first three weeks in June going through the entire process of putting on a musical: from first auditions to final curtain call.

Please come and support them as they share their work with family, friends, and special guests on Friday evening, June 24 at 7:00 pm in the Oakwood Village West auditorium! Admission is free!

Laura Borgwardt, returning director, is a graduate from Syracuse University in acting and has trained at Shakespeare's Globe in London and at the Arielle Tepper Semester in New York City. She currently lives in New York, working as an actor and teaching with TADA! Youth Theater. At Bethel, she was the children's choir director for three years, co-director of Glass Slipper Summer Drama, and director of the recent productions of Annie and Alice in Wonderland. She is extremely excited to be back in Madison this summer working with Bethel youth!
